World War II war graves in Soroby Cemetery. Most are airmen based on Tiree who were killed. Some are unknown merchant seamen whose bodies were wash up on or found near Tiree. Tiree, Gaelic Tiriodh, is located beyond Mull on the fringe of the Atlantic and, along with the Isle of Coll, is the most remote of the Inner Hebrides. Stunning white beaches, opportunites for walking, historic townships and the gentle pace of life encourage visitors to return again and again. For more, begin at the Panoramic Photographs pages.
