Skerryvore Lighthouse - Tiree

Skerryvore Lighthouse was built by engineer Alan Stevenson (uncle of Robert Louis Stevenson, the writer) between 1838 & 1844.

The mainly flat island of Tiree is to be found due west of Mull and, along with the Isle of Coll, is the most remote of the Inner Hebrides. Long stretches of clean sand, the wide variety of wild flowers, the quiet roads and mild weather make Tiree a great holiday destination. For more info try the Map of Tiree.
