A traditional white washed cottage lies at the head of Port Ban beach. At low tide a long thin expanse of sheltered beach is exposed.

Tiree, The Land of Corn, is located beyond Mull on the fringe of the Atlantic. It is the most westerly of the Inner Hebrides.
