Island House is the official residence of the Dukes of Argyll on the Isle of Tiree. Now effectively at the edge of a loch, it was originally on an island with moat. The Isle of Tiree, The Land below the Waves, is located beyond Mull on the fringe of the Atlantic and, along with the Isle of Coll, is the most remote of the Inner Hebrides. Miles of quiet beaches, the wide variety of wild flowers, historic townships and relaxing surroundings has become a magnet for discerning tourists. For more details go to the Map of Tiree.
