Kirkapol Church, on Gott Bay, was built in 1842. Yellow machair flowers in the foreground. The Napier Commission, officially the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Condition of Crofters and Cottars in the Highlands and Islands, met here in 1883. This was a public inquiry into living conditions in places like Tiree.

The Isle of Tiree, The Land below the Waves, can be found off the Atlantic coast of Scotland and is unique within Scotland's islands. Clean beaches, birds, including the rare Corncrake, traditional agriculture and the gentle pace of life has proven an inspiration to many artists. For more info visit Tiree in News links.
