The old harbour at Cornaig Beach / Traigh Chornaig was named "The Green" by fishermen from the east coast of Scotland who used it. A number of crumbling harbours can be seen around Tiree's coast. These are the remnants of a past attempt to stimulate a larger fishing industry.
